Megs wanted to go shopping.... Els didn't ,so I took her out shooting with me,
She was fully camoed up and did a great job of keeping still and watching for vermin.
We were ambushing a group of Jackdaws that were nesting in the woods. Jackdaws take song bird eggs and kill (and eat) the chicks so they are on the general licence for control.
It was not long before one turned up.
It was windy in the tops of the trees but a clean shot was taken and Eleanor helped to recover it..

We then headed off into the fields. I nearly lost Eleanor in the grass!!

It even allowed us to take a photo..

Proof Ghosts DO exist!!!
Friday night was "School Disco Night". Eleanor retuned having had a great time but had obviously danced her socks off as her feet needed a gently massaging spa while she awaited her sisters return..
Oh, and to top up her sugar levels with a bag of sweets
:-)
I was a little worried at the end of Feb.
I'd visited the bees, to see how they were - not open them as it is too cold.
Anyway the Weak Colony, colony 2, was all abuzz with a healthy looking cloud of bees hovering around the entrance.
This was great news as we had left the colony a little uncertain last year. The final visit had been in the cold weather and Queenie had gone a little, er ... well she was not moving much... wel.... at all..!!!
We expected this colony to fail.
The other on, colony 1, was a BIG and STRONG with a beautiful Queen, we had no worries last year...
But in Feb there ws no sign of life....
However, this visit show a little glimmer of hope.!

This is the entrance of Colony 1
..and thi sis colony 2

Both have activity and are bringing in stores!!!
So with a little luck there could be 2 colonies to start the year.

It was a beautiful day on Saturday (5th March) so the girls and I had a session shooting in the garden.
Both Megs and Els did extreem ly well with sub 40m groups.
Eleanor created a superb group on her papaer target and Megs hit a bunch of spinners including a tiny 15mm spinner!

Well the Roberts Rabble have finally got a website! It seemed about time to get something up and running as the girls are showing more interest in computers etc and I have failed to maintain the other attempts I have previously published.
So lets see how we get on!!
